All City of Hamilton administrative offices 
Closed December 25 through to January 1. They will re-open January 4, 2010.

PUBLIC WORKS
Waste Management Green Cart, Blue Box and Garbage Collection No collection on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Collection will occur the following day. Christmas Tree Collection Check your waste collection calendar for specifi c dates in January. Community Recycling Centres and Transfer Stations Closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

ATS-DARTS DARTS
Will be operating holiday service hours for Dec. 25, 26, 28, 29, 30 and Jan. 1, and all subscription trips, including dialysis, are cancelled for these days. Passengers with dialysis appointments during the holidays should confi rm their dates and times with ATS Reservations staff. ATS Reservations will be closed on Dec. 25, 26, 27, 28 and Jan. 1. On New Years' Eve, DARTS will have pick-ups as late as 12:30 a.m. and service will be free after 6:00 p.m.

TRANSIT
– HSR The HSR will operate on a special Christmas Day schedule on Dec. 25. Boxing Day, Dec. 26, the HSR will operate on regular Saturday schedules. On December 31, service will run on a regular weekday schedule, and service will be free after 6:00 p.m. Please call HSR information at 905-527-4441 for more details.

COMMUNITY SERVICES
Ontario Works For emergencies: Ontario Works participants may call and leave a message at (905) 546 3914. This line will be monitored and your message will be returned on: Dec. 29, 30 and 31, 2009.

CULTURE AND RECREATION
All recreation facilities, arenas, and museums will be CLOSED Dec. 25-26, 2009 and Jan. 1, 2010. For recreation schedules between Christmas and New Year’s Day, visit the website at www.hamilton.ca/rec or www.hamilton.ca/museums

THE FARMERS' MARKET
Hholiday hours are as follows: Mon., Dec. 21 – 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tues., Dec. 22 – 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wed., Dec. 23 – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Thursday December 24. 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Fri. Dec. 25 & Fri.. Jan. 1 - CLOSED

HAMILTON PUBLIC LIBRARY
All Hamilton Public Library locations will be open regular hours from Dec. 21-23, closing at 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. All library locations will be closed on Sun., Dec. 20 and from Dec. 25-27. They will also be closing at 1 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 and closed on Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day. For the week of Dec. 28, you can check the Library’s website – www.hpl.ca – or call 905-546-3200. Regular hours resume Jan. 2, 2010.

PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
For Public Health matters concerning: • reports of suspected reportable diseases, outbreaks and food poisoning call 905-546-2063

The Sexual Health Information line
Sexual health and STD clinics will not be operating from Dec. 24, 2009 resuming Jan. 4, 2010.
For birth control & STI issues, Health Initiatives for Youth will be open Dec. 29 & 30 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at 905-528-3009. The Street Health Centre will be operating Dec. 29 from 9 am - 12 pm, Dec 30 & 31 from 1:00-4:30 p.m. at 905-777-7852.

The Van Needle Exchange will be operating Dec. 29 & 30 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight at 905-317-9966.

Post partum telephone assessments will be provided on Dec. 26, 28 29, 30, 31 and January 2nd through the Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program to all families of newborns discharged from hospital during the shutdown that consented to a referral.

The Health Connections line will not be operating Dec. 25, 26 and January 1. The line will re-open Jan. 4, 2010. However, Telehealth Ontario can be reached 24 hours a day at 1-866-797-0000.

The Mental Health/Outreach Program will be CLOSED Dec 25, 26,and Jan. 1. Referrals can be made through IntÃc at 905-528-0683 on Dec 29 and 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Dec 24 and Dec 31 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Alcohol Drug & Gambling Services (ADGS) will not be offering services from Dec. 25, 2009 resuming Jan. 4, 2010. Any clients requiring assistance during this closure can call 905- 546-3606, option 3, for a list of emergency numbers.

Child and Adolescent Services will be CLOSED from Dec. 25, 2009 resuming services Jan. 4, 2010. Any clients requiring assistance during this closure should contact their Family Doctor or COAST at 905-972-8338.

PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS TAXATION DIVISION:
Payment of property taxes may be submitted into a drop box at the Taxation Offi ce, 77 James St. N., Suite 220 or in a drop box at your nearest Municipal Service Centre as follows: • Ancaster: 300 Wilson Street East • Dundas: 60 Main St. • Flamborough: 163 Dundas St. East • Glanbrook: 4280 Binbrook Rd. • Stoney Creek: 777 Hwy. 8 Payments may also be made at most fi nancial institutions or by mail to: The Corporation of the City of Hamilton c/o Tax Department, 77 James St. N., Suite 220 (Main Level) P.O. PARKING VIOLATIONS:
Payment of Parking Violations can be made by mail to the pre printed address indicated on the parking tag or dropped off into the drop box at the nearest Municipal Service Centre (see addresses above), Taxation Division (noted above) or online anytime at www.hamilton.ca or www.paytickets.ca.

The Hamilton Municipal Parking System office at 80 Main Street West, at Summers Lane, also accepts payments for parking violations at its drop box. Traffic Violations: Payments to be submitted at the Provincial Offences Administration Offi ce at 45 Main St. East, 4th Floor, Suite 408 (John Sopinka Court House) will be closed from December 25 through to January 1, 2010. It will reopen Monday, January 4, 2010.

During the holiday period, payments can be submitted in the drop box located outside the offi ce (4th Floor, Suite 408) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Online payments are available at: www.hamilton.ca or www.paytickets.ca.
