Mayor Congratulates Dundas for Hockeyville win

Mayor Fred Eisenberger congratulates Dundas on their hockeyville win. The Mayor especially singled out Council colleague Russ Powers and organiser Mr Barry Forth for their great work - together with all the volunteers - in putting together a successful campaign.

The Mayor also thanked the people of Hamilton for supporting Dundas in this initiative and encouraged similar collaboration in the future. "I am very proud of our city. We have proved, in a big way, that by acting together we can achieve anything we want", The Mayor said, "I thank all the numerous people who voted for Dundas, the students who volunteered and everybody for their input".

As a result of the win, Dundas will get $100,000 for rehabilitiation of their hockey arena and an opportunity to watch an exhibition game.
